Job  Description:    

Responsible  for  the  development,  implementation  and  management  of  the  company  Maintenance  Training  program.

Responsibilities  include:

?  Strategic  -  Support  the  implementation  of  the  Maintenance  Training  (MT)  strategy.

?  Operational  -  responsible  for  the  planning,  development  and  evaluation  of  training  resources,  both  domestic  and  overseas,  including  OEMs,  airlines/MROs,  147  approved  organizations,  etc.

?Provide  advice,  recommendations  and  support  to  the  Regional  Manager  MT  (RM,  MT)  on  all  matters  relating  to  MT  operations  and  development.  

?Regulatory  Approvals  -  Manage  relationships  with  regional/local  aviation  authorities  and  co-ordinate  with  Manager,  Regulatory  Affairs  to  ensure  that  all  training  conducted  under  an  approval  is  in  compliance  with  the  approval.

?Forecast  and  justify  group’s  current  resource  needs  (staff,  hardware,  software,  training  devices,  and  facilities)  to  meet  the  workload  projections.    Coordination  with  Human  Resources  Department  to  adjust  training  requirements  based  on  recruitment  resource  pool  and  employee  development  program.

?Supervisory  -  Supervise  MT  instructors  in  the  performance  of
their  assigned  tasks.    Oversee  scheduling,  performance  planning  and  development  of  MT  instructors.    Maintain  records  of  training,  qualification  and  currency  of  assigned  personnel  as  required  by  MT  Standards  office.

?Industry  Leader  -  Keep  abreast  of  new  aviation  industry  technology,  maintenance  processes,  and  training  methods.    Evaluate  the  latest  developments  in  instructional  methods,  materials,  techniques,  and  equipment  and  make  appropriate  recommendations  to  enhance  MT  course  curriculum  and  deployment.    Help  maintain  an  industry  leadership  position  for  the  organization.    Maintain  a  positive  relationship  with  customers,  suppliers,  regulatory  agencies,  and  Alteon’s  organizations.

?Foster  strong  working  relationships  with  customers,  regulatory  authorities,  company  management  and  other  key  players  within  the  region  and  at  all  levels.  Explore  opportunities  to  improve  MT  concepts,  techniques  and  quality  of  training  products.

?Financial  Management  -  Manage  MT  group’s  resources  to  deliver  the  regional  revenue  target.    Responsible  for  training  budget  identification  and  assessment  for  annual  budget  forecast.

?Accountable  for  the  security  of  materials,  projects  and  business  information  regarding  the  methods  and  techniques  used  in  the  production  and  usage  of  Alteon  products.

?MT  Course  Curriculum  Standardization/Enhancement  –  Participate  in  the  continuous  improvement/refinement  of  course  curriculums  and  the  methods  used  to  deploy  training.    Participate  in  the  development  of  new  maintenance  training  courseware  (e.g.  training  manuals,  CBT,  etc.)  Ensure  training  material  is  accurate  for  customers.    Ensure  that  training  program  meets  applicable  regulatory,  international  and  local  industry  standards  using  world  class  methodologies.
