Responsibilities:

The  general  responsibility  of  the  PRODUCT  ENGINEER  in  ARC  business  unit  include  the  airworthiness  responsibilities  defined  in  ***  RSM  procedure  9.8.5.6  “QUALIFICATION  AND  AUTHORIZATION  OF  ENGINEER”  as  well  as  supporting  function  to  production,  customer  service,  etc  such  as  repair  cost  estimation,  but  not  limit  to.  

With  regard  to  his/  her  responsibility  in  detail  for  PRODUCT  ENGINEER  in  ARC  business  unit,  the  PRODUCT  ENGINEER  (OS-E/P)  shall  

?  Develop  and  maintain  maintenance  capability  in  accordance  with  the  quality  standards,  qualifications  of  employees,  tools  &  equipment  requirements,  materials  requirements,  and  documentation  requirements;  

?  Perform  activities  associated  with  the  development  or  improvement  of  maintenance  

?  processes  (technology)  with  regard  to  quality,  reliability,  and  cost-efficiency;  Incorporate  statutory  regulatory  requirements  as  well  as  customer  requirements  into  maintenance  standard  working  documents;  

?  Define  and  maintain  maintenance  standards  for  production  in  order  to  effectively  manage  
maintenance  process;  Define  applicable  scope  of  work  and  translate  it  into  workable  shop  floor  documentation;

?  Provide  technical  support,  advisory  to  production  staff  if  applicable;  

?  Work  with  Sales  or  Customer  Service  providing  engineering  assessment,  planning  data  or  cost  estimation  for  customer  inquiry;  

?  Co-operate  with  Quality  Assurance  to  develop  and  maintain  the  quality  standards  for  workshop;  

?  Assist  Tool  &  Equipment  Engineer  for  procurement  of  adequate  tools  &  equipments  required  to  perform  the  intended  scope  of  work  at  expected  production  volume;  

?Assist  Material  Purchase  staff  for  procurement  of  adequate  materials  required  to  perform  the  intended  scope  of  work  at  expected  production  volume,  including  the  subcontracting  of  work  if  required.  

?Assist  Engineering  Administration  for  procurement  of  necessary  documents  required  to  perform  the  intended  scope  of  work;  

?Other  tasks  assigned  by  Head  of  Engineering  (Engineering  Manager);  

Qualifications:

?University  degree  majored  in  aviation/aeronautic  engineering,  or  any  equivalent  education  which  is  considered  suitable  for  the  job;  

?Knowledge  of  relevant  airworthiness  standards,  regulatory  requirements;  

?Good  knowledge  of  ***  quality  system,  ***  quality  procedure  stipulated  in  ***  RSM,  OPM,  etc;  

?Extensive  proficient  knowledge  of  A/C  engineering  know-how  for  repair  and  overhaul  processes  of  aircraft  structure  and  structural  components;  

?At  least  1.5  years’  experience  as  a  trainee  Product  Engineer  following  an  appropriate  training  concept,  or  similar  knowledge  and  experience  gained  over  several  years’  professional  experience  of  A/C  maintenance  or  component  maintenance  or  any  other  equivalent  experience  which  is  considered  suitable  for  the  job;  

?Fluent  in  English  speaking,  writing,  and  reading;  

?Sound  knowledge  of  computer  applications;  

?Skill  and  knowledge  of  trouble-shooting,  analysis  and  statistics;  

?Accountability  and  self-motivation;  

?Ability  to  withstand  stress,  self-confidence  and  decision-making  drive;  

?Work  independently  and  initiatively;
